Uncle Otto's Eatery has introduced to the U.S market the kebap, Europe's Famous sandwich.
The kepab, a Turkish cousin to the Greek gyro, is actually named döner kebap. Döner means "turning" and kebap means "roasted". Our traditional kebap sandwich is made with a European-style bread (round bread, toasted on the outside and moist and flaky on the inside), exclusively baked for Uncle Otto's European Eatery with Uncle Otto's secret recipe. The bread is filled with chicken or beef that has been marinated and grilled on a vertical spit. The shaved meat is topped off with lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers and our special sauce, made fresh for each order. In addition to chicken or beef, Uncle Otto's has introduced three new varieties of kebap, feta-based veggie, tuna and Reuben. For children, we offer smaller sizes of our kebap sandwiches and a sweet sandwich called Nutella kebap.
Uncle Otto's European Eatery also serves authentic Belgian fries, the most delicious fries you will ever taste. They are cut daily, precooked and then flash fried when the customer orders. We offer a choice of eight different dipping sauces, made exclusively for Uncle Otto's from our special recipes, including Zesty BBQ, Curry Up, Creamy Feta, Luscious Black Olive, Pesto Magnifico, Tangy Mayo, Roasted Red Pepper and Spicy Chipotle. Our menu also incorporates a variety of fresh garden salads, fruit salads, chili, ice cream, and German sweets. All sandwiches and fries are made to order.
In Germany, the kebap is the number one sandwich with approximately 15,000 kebap restaurants. In Berlin, where the first kebap shop opened in 1970, there are over 1,300 kebap restaurants. Since its introduction in Germany, the kebap has also become phenomenally popular in other European countries. In Athens, GA, the kebap has achieved legendary status in only five years.
